Today the world faces an unprecedented number of humanitarian crises. In emergency settings, nearly all people experience considerable distress, while the rates of those who experience mental disorders can nearly double. Nevertheless, in these fragile contexts, people are at risk of having their mental health and psychosocial well-being overlooked entirely. However, this does not have to be the case. Practical tools and programmes exist for developing sustainable and quality mental health systems, even amidst the most devastating emergencies. This short film shows how this can be done by highlighting actions taken to increase the availability of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in Syria since 2013.

  1. If you can’t look at oneself aka yourself in the mirror and actually like what you see you hate yourselves believe it our not. Its phycology at its finest in my opinion. Needlessly to say I’ve lived through some things obesity is a sickness of the mind

  2. This is amazing, I can only imagine the mental effect that these conditions can cause. We need more programmes like this worldwide.

  3. Really? The NWO break their toys and want the other toys to fix them? Damn NWO, stop throwing a fit and breaking things. Fix your toys yourself.
