I encourage everyone to write letters to all senators, and governors. I did this, and it took an entire afternoon, but feel it is worthwhile. The content of the letter I sent out is as follows:
Dear Senator (Governor),
I am writing to ask that you come forward to publicly acknowledge President Elect Biden, and Vice President Elect Harris for their election victory, and offer them congratulations. I also implore you to encourage the Trump Administration to allow transition to begin. Regardless of your association with either party, or who you support, the people have spoken. As a civil servant it is your duty to ensure that the people’s voice is heard. Americans across the country are living in fear that our democracy is at stake. With coronavirus on the rise with daily record numbers, it is imperative that this transition occur asap in order to allow the new task force to implement their plan to control this deadly pandemic. If the Trump Administration wishes to pursue lawsuits, and recounts, this can continue to happen while the transition takes place. I beg for your assistance in helping make this an easier transition for all of America. Remember the world is watching, and our reputation is on the line. More personally, and with all due respect, I ask that you keep in mind that your reputation is at stake as well. Thank you for your time, and consideration. I pray that you give this serious thought, and address this situation immediately.
