Please don’t be so dismissive of the possibility of transmission in schools. Just because kids don’t usually suffer bad effects from this virus doesn’t mean they can’t spread it to each other, their families, and their teachers.
School is obviously important, and if want to keep them open we will need to make sacrifices elsewhere to keep the spread of this virus low enough that schools can open safety. With cases so high right now, I’m not convinced it is safe to have kids learning in person. We need to get the number of new cases under control immediately, and if we can’t then we should also switch to remote learning.
