Emergency Medical Teams help with post-explosion recovery in Beirut, Lebanon

Within 48 hours of the devastating explosion at the port in Beirut, Lebanon, on 4 August 2020, WHO mobilized to support the deployment of Emergency Medical Teams to the city. Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the teams helped respond to immediate trauma needs, and together with dedicated local health workers like Marie, they also to help get damaged health facilities back up and running as quickly as possible.
