Adolescence is a critical stage for mental health. In fact, half of all mental health conditions start by 14 years of age. Suicide is the third leading cause of death in older adolescents. They outline what they see as priorities and how investment in mental health can make a difference to their lives.

The World Health Organization, along with UNICEF and other partners and young people, is field testing a suite of psychosocial interventions for the promotion of mental health, the prevention of mental health conditions and self-harm, and the treatment of emotional disorders among adolescents.
